"A Son's Offering"

Native American culture changed drastically as European trade goods became available. Old traditions began to fade. There was less ear mutilation and tattooing and use of natural materials for adornment. Young natives began to favor trade cloth, silver, bangles, and dyed exotic feathers. As today, a father and son might embrace different values. A useful gift can close the generation gap.
